    2004 audi a4 auto vin never works. Also updated yesterday to the new version where it says updated vin now works on update description. Still does not work!! Does thr auto vin ever work????

     We have checked your datalog. From the data, Auto-Vin can read the VIN code WAUDF78E36A121646 to locate this car as Audi A4 USA/CAN 2001.

    It does pick up the vin but then when you hit ok it says vin decoding failed
    For pretty much every import I have seen.

    How frustrating is to purchase this scan tool yet is nowhere better in coverage as my old ds708. Other than a huge tablet that's freezes ten times a day when you go from auto vin back to manual in disappointment. I really thought you guys had stepped up..

      It is really strange. For this Audi car, this VIN can be decoded and we tested it many times. Could you please take some pictures or video for our checking as you said it can read VIN, but appeared Decoding Failed message? You can send pictures or videos to support@autel.com.
